TECHNOLOGIES

Why We Need Technologies,

We are building:

  • A business-to-business training program

  • A sales and communication program

  • A collection and customer-service apprenticeship

  • A youth entrepreneurship pipeline

  • A digital skills certification program

  • A workforce development system

All of these require technology.

Here’s why modern tech is essential:

1. Youth cannot compete in today’s economy without digital skills

Schools teach basics.

We are teaching real-world trade skills:

  • Email professionalism

  • CRM systems

  • Invoicing

  • Digital marketing

  • Logo design

  • Website building

  • Data entry

  • Remote work skills

  • Video conferencing

  • Scheduling and calendar management

This requires laptops, tablets, and software, not outdated tech.

2. Many youth in your program come from low-income homes

Most will NOT have:

  • A working laptop

  • Workspace

  • Wifi

  • Job-ready software

  • A quiet study environment

Without technology, Youth and volunteers cannot participate fully in:

  • Remote training

  • Resume development

  • Online job applications

  • Virtual interviews

  • Online college courses

  • Digital certifications

  • Sales and outreach assignments

We are removing that barrier.

3. Technology lets your programs operate like REAL modern businesses

Our youth will simulate:

  • Sales calls

  • Email outreach

  • B2B agreements

  • Cash-box pickups

  • Donation management

  • Business reporting

  • Customer communication

  • Data tracking

These must be done with modern tools.

Without real technology, the training becomes outdated and useless.

4. Technology makes the YERI Foundation more credible

When funders or partners see:

  • Updated computers

  • Smart screens

  • A digital system

  • Organized software

  • A professional facility

…it instantly increases:

  • Trust

  • Funding potential

  • Community partnerships

  • School district involvement

  • Business sponsorship willingness

Tech makes us look so amazing things

5. Technology allows you to expand programs in 2026–2027

Out future programs might include:

  • Digital design

  • Coding basics

  • Social media marketing

  • Podcasting

  • Video editing

  • Resume labs

  • Robotics

  • 3D printing

  • Virtual tutoring

Every one of these requires updated equipment.

How Much Money We Need to Raise for Technology

Here is a realistic funding breakdown.

A. Technology for youth participants

If we sponsor 50 youth:

  • Laptops: $500 × 50 = $25,000

  • Headsets: $25 × 50 = $1,250

  • Software: $100 × 50 = $5,000

Subtotal: $31,250

For 100 youth:

$62,500

B. Technology for YERI training center

For the actual facility:

  • 30 Chromebooks: $9,000

  • 5 staff computers: $5,000

  • Smart board: $2,500

  • Router system: $1,000

  • Projector setup: $1,200

  • Software licenses (annual): $8,000

  • Security system (tech side): $1,000

  • Server & backup storage: $2,000

Subtotal: $29,700

Round to: $30,000

C. Total technology funding needed by December 2026

If we serve 100 youth and build a proper training center:

$90,000 – $100,000 total goal

If we serve 50 youth:

$60,000 total goal

If we want full expansion with advanced programs:

$150,000+ technology goal

This would include cameras, robotics, editing labs, and 3D printing.

 Recommended Goal for December 2026

Based on our vision for the YERI Foundation:

Recommended Technology Fundraising Goal: $100,000

This gives us:

  • Enough laptops for every youth

  • Enough computers for training labs

  • Modern software

  • Updated communication tools

  • Future growth capacity

  • Real business simulation tools

  • Ability to run workshops professionally

  • Increased credibility for grants
